It’s time for us to recognize some of our top Ruggers for 2009. Awards will be given out at the annual Rugby Formal this Saturday at StoneHouse, 7pm. These awards will recognize those players efforts this last year as they honored the sport of Rugby with passion and strength….then we have those few other guys! Yes, those other guys that strive long and hard to be in all ways “That Guy” in all means of the term!

I ask you all as players and fans to take a minute and print out the following 2009 Awards Banquet Nominees and fill in your votes. Keep in mind, every vote counts so if you don’t know a players name – LEARN IT! To all those that are in fear of being in the running for the infamous Tool Award, well worry because at least one of us remembers the story and is willing to share it. I would like to thank you all for the effort that was put into this last season. We didn’t end the season with the record that we wanted but what it did give us was the opportunity to come up with some great ideas for what it will take as a rugby team in Northern Colorado to grow. This last year gave our teams leaders the opportunity to take notes and ideas for what worked and what didn’t work so that this next year we have an attack plan. A lot of effort has been given to expand our marketing efforts, player retention and training as we look at the upcoming season. Now as Northern Colorado Rugby we get to make a new name for this team, a new chance to be more then “look out for Fort Collins Rugby, they’re getting better” to “What…..just hit me”!
